The Bay Area Black Pilots Association activities include fly-ins, career day seminars for
minority youth, media appearances (informational), introduction to aviation (free plane rides),
community outreach and networking with other pilots.
BABPA sponsors several fly-ins each year. These trips provide members an opportunity to
practice cross-country navigation and to enjoy each other’s company while exploring new
